Jessica is a Senior Solicitor in the People Department. She has been employed by Essex County Council on a permanent basis since February 2009. Prior to this, Jessica worked at London Borough of Newham as a solicitor in the Community Legal Team and also undertook work for London Borough of Lambeth when she was employed in the Public Law team at Sternberg Reed Solicitors.

Jessica obtained her undergraduate degree in Social Psychology at Sussex University in 1999 and then her Postgraduate Diploma in Law (CPE) in 2001. She completed the Legal Practice Course at the University of the West of England in Bristol.

Jessica completed her training contract with Dundons solicitors, a high street firm specialising in childcare and criminal law. During her training she also spent time on secondment to Battersea Law Centre, as well as obtaining stage one of her Higher Rights of Audience and becoming a police station accredited representative.

Jessica was admitted as a fully qualified solicitor in December 2005 and has specialised since qualification on public childcare, having represented lay clients within care proceedings as well as working as a solicitor for local authorities.

She is a solicitor on the Law Society's Children Panel.
